How can I start a small Credit Card Company?

saborguerito asked:
I am curious to know how much start up money would be needed to start a small Credit Card Company. I am interested in extending credit with Secured Credit Cards with low limits for individuals looking to establish or re-establish credit by a secured credit card. Also I have thought about prepaid debit cards for those in chexsystems and cannot get conventional checking accounts.

What I mean is not to broker, but to be able to start a very small company directly.

What category does a credit card loan go to when the debit is for equipment for your business?

Will my credit card be under a cost of goods account, expense account, loan or what? The equipment had already been paid in full by the credit card, now we are paying the credit card off. Should I name the credit card as a vendor?

Is a credit card number really valid for a deposit on a service?

JNate asked:
I own a small business which often takes credit card numbers over the phone as a deposit. We recently had a customer no show, and she contested through her credit card company when we charged her (she claims it wasn’t explained when she gave us her #). The credit card company took her side and said it is policy to allow anyone contesting to get their money back if there is no signature. How can this be? So many hotels and services take card #’s as deposits!
